Out behind the Percival Brewing Company at The Norwood Space Center is a huge hallway which used to be the home of a one-and-a-half ton crane that hung from the ceiling. The crane is still there but it no longer works, so the hallway has become simply a hall. Now curated by Dave Tree it has been re-dubbed The Long Haul Gallery, and he brings in artists from all over to show their work.
Friday, June 22 from 6-10PM is the opening reception of the Summer Space Group Art Show, and I have 14 pieces on the wall!
Other artists include Alvan Long, Mikey Made in Boston, Ian Sanity, Dave Tree, Celeste Hanlon, Chuck McNally, Rocky Rocquib, Sean Walker (who works for Sky & Telescope Magazine), and Pete Cosmos.
The gallery will be open to the public, and I will have my studio open from 7-ish.
Saturday evening, the Space Center is hosting a Beatles Celebration in honor of Paul and Ringo's birthday. This should be a big event, with a live performance by The Oh Nos!! and then DJ Mike Gioscia. Presented by WUMB’s Breakfast With The Beatles hosted by Cha-Chi Loprete -- this is not a free event. Please see the Space Center events page for details.
