The paintings represented on this site are a large percentage of my recent work. They are mostly painted on wood panels in either acrylic or oil colors. The panels are mounted or cradled" on a poplar frame, which makes them appear to float about half an inch from the wall.
My recent acrylic work is dominated by an aging effect created in layers, stressed and then mounted on wood
where it is completely stablized.
Occasionally I'll really like something that is ready-made, but most of the collage work I design and execute myself, using
a combination of computer work and hand crafting.
The three-dimensionals objects are inspired from my days as
a prop maker. Using different materials and my graphic arts experience, I have been creating small mysteries in the form of things you might find in the back of an old relatives pantry.
